Beach Houses, Low Hauxley

This painting was completed after one of my many visits to the Northumberland Coast, a place that holds a special charm for me. The setting was a changeable sky, filled with a mix of soft clouds and bursts of blue, while the early Spring sun was just about warming the facades of the beach houses, casting a gentle glow that highlighted their vibrant colors. The air was crisp and invigorating, filled with the scent of the sea and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore, creating a perfect backdrop for my artistic inspiration.
