‘After the Rain’

This is an impressionist style painting using a palette knife with acrylic paint.

The scene is of an Ash tree in the hedgerow of a North Yorkshire lane.  The Ash is silhouetted against the evening sky and wet surface of the lane reflects the wet hues of the clouds.  The machine cut hedges of the Yorkshire country lanes add strong perspective and direction for the composition.
